Today, the students planted sweet potatoes in their tatewari groups.    It was nice to see the older students helping the younger students do their task.  I never worked with students in higher or lower grades in America.  I only knew students in my class and people who were my friends.  I think that having the older and younger students work together and play together is a wonderful idea.

今日は、三小の児童が縦割り班でサツマイモの苗を植えました。先輩の児童が後輩の作業を手伝う様子は、とても素敵と思いました。アメリカでは、自分の先輩と後輩と一緒に活動することはなかったです。自分のクラスメートや友達しか知りませんでした。先輩と後輩を一緒に活動したり、遊んだりするのは、素晴らしい考えと思います。
